The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is still seen by many fans as one of the real high points in the beloved series, with millions of players still enjoying what it has to offer on the Nintendo 64 or via PC emulation. With the 40th anniversary of the franchise passing this year, fans have been even more keen to look back on the older games once again.

As part of that, fans have been expecting Nintendo to make some pretty significant announcements around the series for players to get excited about. Though those haven't been forthcoming just yet, rumors of a remake for Ocarina of Time continue to swirl, and the latest news from elsewhere may finally have given this enough credence for fans to really start dialing up the anticipation.
