If you've ever been a player or fan of the original Red Dead Redemption game, then you'll know that one of the more beloved areas and portions of the release is when players get to go to Mexico. As such, many expected it to feature in some form for the sequel prequel, and it was a pretty major disappointment that it didn't.
Happily, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a brilliant game in its own right, and it doesn't really suffer from the fact that the developer didn't elect to include Mexico. That said, there's always room for improvement, and with no official DLC on the way from Rockstar, fearless modders have decided to skip the middle man and add Mexico to the game for themselves.
Over on YouTube, you should be able to find the trailer for Nuevo Paraiso - The Forgotten Frontier, a hugely ambitious Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that finally takes players back to Mexico all these years later. It remakes the map from the original and ports it to the newer game, with all of the pedestrians and NPCs that you would expect to see.
