Speculation over FromSoftware's next major Elden Ring follow-up project has been rampant ever since the rumor surfaced last year of an unannounced title in the works code-named "FMC." While virtually no details about the project have surfaced in that time, fans have put forth countless theories on what the next game could be, whether that's an official Elden Ring sequel, a new Bloodborne entry, or something completely new.
Despite there being no official confirmation of this unannounced FromSoft project and what it may entail, a newly surfaced "leak" has started circulating on social media that suggests project FMC is not only real, but that it could be revealed extremely soon, possibly even this year.
While the rumor should be taken with the grainiest of salts, it points to a new open-world adventure featuring pirates on the high seas, and even includes an apparent title, but fans are highly skeptical at this point (via X).
According to recent reports, FromSoftware's next major title is going to be called Cerulean Onslaught, and will feature open-world, pirate-based exploration on an island-based map, where players will travel around the high seas on their pirate ship as a sort of home base....
