There are a lot of people out there who, to this day, will insist that GTA IV is the best game in the series to date, and they're well within their rights to do that. It's undoubtedly a brilliant release, and Niko Bellic is definitely one of the series most memorable (and likeable) protagonists, leaving his horrendous crimes to one side for a second.

Liberty City is also an iconic setting, and the overall vibe of the game was considerably darker than what we got with GTA V. Though everyone is entitled to their own preference, it's still well worth playing GTA IV from start to finish, and if you do plan on doing that on PC, you can make it look a lot better than it did on release.

As first reported by DSO Gaming, the modder xoxor4d has just rolled out the 1.1.5 update for RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod for Grand Theft Auto IV. If you don't know what that means, essentially the mod enables Real-Time Path Tracing in the 18-year-old game, which renders the physical behavior of light to produce impressively realistic surfaces, reflections, and overall lighting and shadows.
