EA and Battlefield Studios revealed the full Season 3 patch notes ahead of its release on May 12 for Battlefield 6, giving fans a heads-up of all the new content and improvements coming to the game. Looking to continue building on the momentum established within Season 2, Battlefield 6 has ambitious plans to keep fans logging in, both through new content to enjoy as well as continued improvements to the overall experience.
After a very hot start in 2025, Battlefield 6 fell on hard times as its player base dipped and frustrations from fans became louder. Things continued to get worse before they got better as Battlefield Studios was hit with layoffs back in March, worrying many fans about the long-term health of the game. However, Battlefield 6 has seemingly been trending upwards, thanks in large part to Season 2's updates, which not only added more things to do, but started to address community complaints with weapon balancing, improved recoil, and improved soldier movement. With Season 3 now days away, Battlefield Studios is continuing to improve the game and delivering some long-awaited content.
