A recent Pokemon Pokopia leak revealed that the DLC will reportedly add over 100 new Pokemon. Pokopia currently has over 300 Pokemon that players can unlock and befriend, includinkg event-exclusive characters like Hoppip and Sableye.

Released last March, Pokemon Pokopia dominated the Switch 2 charts for weeks with its take on the cozy life simulation genre. Players control a Ditto disguised as a human trainer, who revives barren islands to bring back several Pokemon inhabitants. The base game itself is already pretty deep, but with the franchise having over 1,000 Pokemon in total, many Pokopia fans are expecting more content in an upcoming expansion.

While Pokopia has undoubtedly left a mark on 2026, it is no longer the highest rated game of the year (according to a review aggregate).

There have been a number of theories about Pokemon Pokopia's DLC, from the potential new characters to more explorable islands. In a recent tweet by leaker Light_88_, it's said that the upcoming Pokopia DLC is reportedly planned for a Q1 2027 release and that it's rumored to add over 100 new Pokemon.
