Legend Of Zelda Official Link Redesign Has Gamers United

It is hard to believe that it has almost been a decade since the "Wilds" saga began for The Legend of Zelda franchise. Beginning with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds back in 2017 and more recently concluding with 2023's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Wilds saga has introduced a brand-new playstyle and artstyle to the beloved Nintendo franchise, but it seems as though fans are ready to move on.

As opposed to the cartoon, cel-shaded-style of previous Zelda entries, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild opted for a more impressionistic artstyle with even the cover art showcasing the brushstrokes and painted-like style of the new saga. As you can imagine, this was quite a drastic change for Zelda fans who had grown up with the series, and although both Breath of the Wilds and Tears of the Kingdom were met with critical acclaim, it seems as though fans agree that the Nintendo franchise should go back to its roots.
