Nintendo's EarthBound series has garnered legendary status, even though it hasn't received a brand-new entry since 2006. Known in Japan as Mother, the EarthBound series' third game is still Nintendo's RPG holy grail, having never been released in the West. Mother and Mother 2, also known as EarthBound Beginnings and EarthBound, respectively, are still beloved worldwide, and the series is making something of a comeback this year with a new product line.
New EarthBound merchandise will be made available soon as part of the Mother's Summer collection, from Hobonichi Mother, a company founded by Mother creator Shigesato Itoi. The new products will make their public debut at the Life's Enjoyment Exhibition, taking place from June 1 to June 7, 2026, at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Square in Shinjuku, Japan. There will, however, be an online pre-sale starting May 25, with select items excluded.
