Grand Theft Auto 6 is unrivaled in its anticipation, perhaps contested only by the hypothetical announcement of anything explicitly related to Bloodborne. And, even though fans should steel themselves in case any unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances do befall it, evidence has been doled out subtly for the last little while that Grand Theft Auto 6’s release date this fall is 100% secured.
For example, Sony has recently been urging gamers to make the leap to current-gen hardware sooner rather than later. All signs are pointing toward players actually seeing full-scale marketing as soon as this summer, with Trailer 3 and Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders surely imminent, and Sony, in particular, seems to be banking on Grand Theft Auto 6’s lack of a PC version at launch.
Per Sony’s Corporate Strategy & Earnings Announcement Presentation slideshow, as noted by Twitter/X user GTA 6 Countdown, Grand Theft Auto VI and Marathon have interestingly been lumped in with a handful of first-party, PlayStation-exclusive titles: Ghost of Yotei, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Saros.
