Despite its massive recent upsurge in popularity, the Fallout franchise is disappointingly going to be on ice for a while yet, with developer Bethesda Entertainment fully focused on finally letting players see what they've been working on for The Elder Scrolls VI over the course of all these years.
Fallout 5 is likely underway already, with the developer usually overlapping their projects to try and ensure that there isn't too much of a gap between the good times (though we're currently seeing how that effort is going). In the meantime, the older games are still there as a warming and familiar embrace, and a new release from fans has brought that effort forward even further.
