Saros, Sony's latest PS5 exclusive, has apparently sold 300,000 copies since its launch in April 2026. If accurate, the figure could suggest the game is struggling to recoup its development costs. Sony has already absorbed a sizable financial setback from Marathon's unstable performance, and Saros joining the list of underperforming first-party titles would likely be the last thing on the company's 2026 agenda.

On May 6, Sony released its official top-download charts for April, suggesting that Saros may be facing early commercial headwinds. The title ranked 11th in the US and Canada and 17th in Europe, placing it well below the position achieved by Returnal during a comparable period following its 2021 release.
