Man Arrested for Threatening to Blow Up Nintendo HQ in Japan

According to police reports, a man has been arrested after threatening to blow up Nintendo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, with some explosives that they claimed to have planted around the company's main building. As of this writing, police are still trying to uncover a motive behind the recent bomb threats against Nintendo.

The arrest came just days after Nintendo announced some changes to the Switch 2's current prices. In light of the ongoing DRAM shortage crisis, which has caused the prices of essential components to skyrocket, Nintendo announced that the Switch 2's price would be increased by $50 starting September 1. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said during an investor Q&A that additional price changes to the Switch 2 lineup may still happen throughout 2026 and 2027.

A new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle is revealed, and it might be the best possible deal for those planning on buying before the price goes up this year.
