However, it seems as though redemption has finally arrived after Best Buy customers were treated to emails overnight, revealing that Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders are set to go live on 18 May. The news comes from multiple Best Buy affiliates who reported receiving an email detailing the pre-order details. For once, this seems to be a reliable leak, as it has only been reported by affiliates, as opposed to "reliable insiders and leakers". The email details that pre-orders will begin on 18 May and will remain open until 21 May.
It is currently unclear why pre-orders will only be open for a limited number of days, and even less clear why Rockstar is relying on affiliates to share the news...
