It was in the early 2000s that the romanticization of the zombie archetype kicked off in earnest, and in the 2010s, it really kicked off with media such as The Walking Dead and The Last of Us bringing the genre back to the forefront of storytelling. With callbacks to the early 19th century, the zombie genre has captured the hearts and minds of consumers, so it is no surprise that another upcoming survival FPS will see us fight against hordes of the undead in fast-paced PvP action.
The game in question is AZUR, and it combines the zombie-action of The Last of Us with the open-world setting of Far Cry to bring us "a fast-paced PvP survival FPS set on the French island of Belmas."
