It's only a matter of months until Grand Theft Auto 6 releases, but plenty of fans are still plagued by doubts about how the game will be priced. Every so often, a market analyst pops up to announce their speculation that the game might, in fact, cost $100, and it repeatedly snowballs into a major news story as people give way to doom and gloom about the alleged MSRP.
With no substantial evidence to ever support either a $100 price or a more traditional $69.99 alternative, the debate has never been able to find a resolution. Now, however, one leaker has finally answered the biggest question about the expected price.
On X, leaker DetectiveSeeds claimed to be in possession of "GTA 6 pricing, bundles, and various structures of ordering the game," but delcared that they wouldn't release the specific prices as it "could have market impacts." Surprisingly, though, the update didn't end there. In response to a reply from Annonymous asking if the price would fall in the range of $60-80, DetectiveSeeds simply said "Yes," suggesting that a $100 price point isn't on the table.
