Game of Thrones fans have been waiting forever to get their hands on a high-quality open-world RPG set in Westeros that does justice to George R. R. Martin's iconic dark fantasy world established in the A Song of Ice and Fire novels. While there have been several lackluster video game adaptations over the years, most of these have been RTS-style (real-time strategy) games, mobile slop, or ended up being canceled before ever seeing the light of day.

Fans of the franchise will universally agree that we're well overdue for a strong open-world RPG that faithfully recreates not only the feeling and atmosphere of the Westerosi setting, but also the political intrigue, character depth, and sense of underlying magic that keep fans captivated in the Game of Thrones HBO universe and GRRM's ASOIF novels.
