Hardware company Logitech G has revealed the results of a new global study on the current situation of eSports. When it comes to education, 65% respondents reacted favorably to more formal pathways in eSports and gaming as a whole for aspiring professionals. However, the studies also point a major generational divide in the opinion about the professional gaming career itself.
The Study's Details
The new results come from a Logitech G PRO Series Survey held by Censuswide between January 20, 2026, and January 27, 2026. There were a total of 18,000 people responding it from different countries, including the United States of America, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, China and Australia. Each market had 1,500 respondents.
With people of different generations, it was possible to notice big gaps in the perception of gaming as a professional activity. Generally, in all countries, the attitude of people of older generations tended to be less often positive, while more respondents of Gen Z and Millennial age regarded it as a legitimate activity.
