It's the 10th anniversary of Overwatch, and unfortunately, it hasn't been well-received by fans, prompting the game director to comment on how Blizzard will fix things in the coming weeks. The past few days have seen a rise in fan disapproval as Overwatch's 10th-anniversary event has been marred by disappointing rewards and a lack of content.

Overall, Overwatch has been on quite a resurgence this year, ever since it dropped the sequel moniker and Season 1 launched to an enthusiastic fan base. Unfortunately, Overwatch can't go very long without some form of controversy, as the recent 10th-anniversary event has soured a huge number of fans over the past week. The foremost complaints from fans online include that the "Launch Hero Skins" are nothing more than simple recolors not worthy of any hype, and that there are only 15 anniversary loot boxes, with 5 of them containing legendary skins. On top of that, this event features no opportunities to earn Overwatch's gold shards, mythic skins, or mythic shards.
