Bungie today announced that the June update will mark the end of support for Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 has been around for almost nine years now. The entire franchise, almost twelve years. The game, and franchise as a whole, has gone through a lot of ups downs across those years. There have been amazing highs (The Taken King, Forsaken, The Witch Queen, The Final Shape) and crushing lows (Beyond Light, Lightfall, The Edge of Fate, Renegades). As a Live Service title, Bungie's intention was to keep the game going forever, but, especially after The Edge of Fate and Renegades, Destiny 2 was running out of steam. Now, it officially has.
Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 support is coming to an end. One final update on June 9 will mark the end of content for the long-running looter shooter.
