Xbox Game Pass Is Losing Some of Its Best RPGs on May 31

Xbox Game Pass is losing five titles on May 31, 2026. The upcoming catalog rotation includes several critically acclaimed Atlus titles that will deal a major blow to the Xbox Game Pass library of high-quality RPGs.

The late May departure wave includes Persona 4 Golden, an enhanced edition of the award-winning JRPG that was added to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025. That event marked the start of its second stint on the service, as Atlus's iconic game was previously available to Microsoft's subscribers between January 2023 and January 2024.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have new perks to claim, ranging from refreshed monthly offerings to brand-new rewards for May 2026.

This time around, Persona 4 Golden is not going to make it a full year, having just been confirmed as departing Xbox Game Pass at the end of May 2026, nine months since returning to the service. The May 31 departures also include another Atlus title in the form of the critically acclaimed Metaphor: ReFantazio.
