Thanks to an upcoming live-action film and the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Elden Ring fans have plenty to look forward to in the next year, with the FromSoftware RPG proving that it is far from done with its popularity.
Launched back in 2022 as the first open-world souls game, Elden Ring was met with both critical acclaim and commercial success, making it one of the best video games of all time. Praised for its worldbuilding, environments, non-linear story, and challenging yet rewarding bosses, Elden Ring has maintained its popularity ever since, with fans regularly creating new characters and diving back into the action annually.
As mentioned, a live-action movie courtesy of A24 and Bandai Namco is currently in production with director Alex Garland at the helm, whilst FromSoftware aims to launch Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, consisting of the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, new classes, armor, and more later this year. However, that is not all, as another exciting release inspired by the world of Elden Ring is also about to debut.
