Further, fans are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming God of War television series from Amazon, which despite skipping over Kratos' Greek saga in favor of the Norse era, has a ton of potential to be a truly special video game adaptation.
Additionally, gamers have God of War: Sons of Sparta to look forward to, which is a small-scale 2D action-platformer developed by Santa Monica Studio alongside Mega Cat Studios, as well as the full God of War 1–3 Greek trilogy remake. However, while Sony has confirmed the trilogy remake is officially in development, they also reiterated that it may be a while before we get our hands on it.
