Jason Voorhees is one of the most iconic horror characters of all time, especially when talking about killers. When it comes to name and face recognition (well, mask recognition), Jason is up there with Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger, even if the Friday the 13th movies have never quite reached the heights of the original Halloween.
Oddly enough, though, Jason has been taking a backseat in recent years. The most recent Friday the 13th film came out in 2009, so it's been 17 years since Jason last terrorized his victims on the silver screen. Things are changing soon with major projects like the Crystal Lake TV series, and another upcoming appearance was just revealed in a surprise trailer.
A new trailer for the video game Dead by Daylight, shared on the official Dead by Daylight YouTube channel, reveals Jason as the next killer coming to the game. In celebration of the game's 10th anniversary, Jason will arrive on June 16, 2026.
