The Witcher 3 fans believe they may be getting a long-awaited update on the rumored new DLC for 2026, and if so, that could be happening on May 28. CD Projekt Red has not so much as hinted at this DLC, though, and it's possibly all copium given that the next Cyberpunk game and The Witcher 4 are still a long time coming. But a little hope is not so bad.

The rumors of a possible The Witcher 3 DLC in 2026 mostly come from a cluster of Polish gaming insiders and repeated industry leaks rather than any official CD Projekt Red announcement. Many have claimed that a new DLC is in the works to bridge the events between The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4, introducing a new region and telling a story surrounding the passing of the torch to Ciri. Others then reported that there was an expansion in the works, alongside a CDPR financial update that some think make his is a possibility. CDPR has not commented on this Witcher 3 rumor at all, though doing so is also unnecessary, but fans are certainly hopeful.
