Several popular game modes from past Halo games are confirmed to be returning in Halo Infinite's upcoming update. Halo Infinite's Operation: Fleetcom will be released later this month and include quite a lot of new content. However, longtime fans of the Halo franchise will notice two fan-favorite game modes are included in this new update and will soon be playable for the very first time in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite officially launched in December 2021. Over the last several years, developer 343 Industries has faced challenges with Halo Infinite, largely stemming from the game being developed as a live-service experience. Over time, Halo Infinite has received several impressive quality-of-life improvements and game-shaking updates. Halo Infinite marked a lot of firsts for the series, featuring a battle pass as well as seasonal content updates, with the game's upcoming update set to bring back several fan-favorite game modes that have been absent for quite some time.

Halo Infinite's campaign makes a pretty controversial decision off the bat, and while it works well, it probably shouldn't be used again in a sequel.
