The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess really wasn't like anything else we had seen in the series up to that point, finally answering fan calls for more realism after a divisive turn towards the toon-ish. It really gave the characters an entirely different edge, and it went down an absolute treat with most in the community when it debuted onto the Nintendo Wii and GameCube.
That original was followed up by a HD remaster that actually didn't carry the game forward in any major way, and though it may have been hampered by the Wii U, it really didn't look that great either. Thankfully, there are plenty of good people out there who work hard to rectify the situation with the latter, and a new version really has it looking far better than it ever did before.
Over on Twitter/X, the user Stormslayer shared a WIP restoration of Twilight Princess HD known as Dusklight HD. It's an immensely ambitious project that intends to remain faithful to the original, while thrusting the visuals forward into the modern day. The original post reads as follows:
