Minecraft Is Natively Launching On Another Platform Soon

Minecraft could soon launch on another console platform in the coming days, according to a recently discovered rating post by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). Although Mojang has not publicly commented on any potential Minecraft ports as of this writing, the appearance of this new ESRB rating could signal that a platform launch is imminent.

The rating board discovery came just weeks after Mojang launched the Tiny Takeover game drop update. The Tiny Takeover update added baby forms of around 40 in-game mobs. The update is part of Minecraft's ongoing focus on compact game drop updates that are released every three to four months on average. Following the launch of Tiny Takeover, Minecraft product manager Anna Lundgren stated that game drops are more sustainable for Mojang's development teams in the long run.
