The competition for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass is heating up. While Game Pass was a favorite many years ago, thanks to its huge game catalog, Sony eventually got wise and added the same benefit. Now, fans can enjoy their own PlayStation Game Catalog, consisting of a ton of different first and third-party games.
Of course, PlayStation Plus also offers monthly bonuses, including free games for Essential tiers and above. It's a nice bonus to log in and check every month, and this time there's an excellent spread of genres. Both publishers have gotten great at diversifying their offerings beyond what's currently popular in recent years.
Now, Sony has dropped a new game on PlayStation Plus that will make action fans and RPG fans alike happy. It's also a massive game, clocking in at 90 hours (via GamingBible).
As part of the newly-revealed June set of PlayStation Plus Essential games, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide makes its way onto PlayStation 5. Released in 2022 on PC, Warhammer 40K: Darktide eventually made its way to other platforms. It hit Xbox in October 2023, and PlayStation 5 in late 2024.
