Hype for Modern Warfare 4 is clearly growing, as expectations for this year's entry are high following a two-year stretch of low points in the series.
On May 28, 2026, Infinity Ward finally peeled back the curtain on the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, returning to the ongoing Task Force 141 storyline with Modern Warfare 4, except this time, a massive global conflict has broken out following North Korea's invasion of South Korea. So far, fan reception has been positive, with many fans enjoying the tone and atmosphere of the reveal, and also excited about Modern Warfare 4's upcoming showdown between Captain Price and Ghost.
