Phantom Blade Zero, the upcoming hack-and-slash action game from S-GAME that definitely is not a Soulslike, has been delayed. Originally scheduled to launch on September 9, 2026, Phantom Blade Zero will now release on October 29, 2026. That’s a 50-day delay and has been confirmed by the official Phantom Blade Zero social media account following today’s State of Play, where it was also revealed that pre-orders for the game will open this summer.
According to S-GAME, the extra time will be used to polish the game and make sure it launches in the best shape possible. That includes upgraded character models, reworked environments, and additional visual improvements that are being made without relying entirely on ray tracing to look good. Which is good, because not everyone is going to be playing this with ray tracing enabled, and the game still needs to look sharp without it.
Honestly, I am fine with this. A delay is never fun, especially when a game looks as slick as this one does, but if the extra time helps make Phantom Blade Zero feel better on day one, then it is probably the right call. We have seen enough...
