During the June 2026 State of Play, Bandai Namco revealed that its upcoming arcade-style combat flight action title, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, will launch globally on October 2, 2026, for PlayStation 5.

It has been a while since we have had a new mainline Ace Combat game, with the last entry, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One back and PC back during 2019.
