PlayStation Plus members have had a frustrating time over the past few years, with several price increases for each membership level in that time, including a recent price increase in May that bumped up the cost of monthly and quarterly subscription prices. That said, Sony has taken steps to justify these cost increases, introducing a wave of over 40 new free games for qualifying members.
And while PlayStation Plus subscribers benefit from free new games on a regular basis and are starting to get more value for the higher prices, it isn't every day that PlayStation drops free games that don't require a PS Plus membership at all.
