Despite being criticized for its visually restricting setting and failure to bring anything new to the table, Pokémon Legends: Z-A joins the list of many Pokémon games that have undergone the test of time by gaining more popularity the further it has been from its launch back in 2025.
As one of the final installments in Gen 9 of the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Legends: Z-A took players to a fictionalized version of Paris known as Lumiose City, with events taking place five years after the end of Pokémon X and Y. Despite originally being planned to launch as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, it later made its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 as well as returning in December 2025 with paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension.
Now, over a year on from the launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Nintendo is back with another free event, encouraging players to return to the streets of Lumiose City and earn some exclusive in-game rewards.
