Pre-orders for a new limited edition DualSense controller themed around the upcoming Sony live-service shooter Concord have recently gone live on the PlayStation Direct storefront. With less than one month to go until its launch on August 23, hype around Concord is rather lukewarm after its recent beta periods, but Sony is seemingly soldiering on with the game's marketing cycle regardless.
Concord is a competitive 5v5 first-person hero shooter and the debut title of Firewalk Studios, a PlayStation first-party team comprised of talent from popular franchises like Destiny and BioShock. A more formal reveal for Concord happened by way of a somewhat vague CGI trailer at the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, shortly after Sony acquired Firewalk Studios. The May 2024 State of Play finally revealed Concord as a 5v5 hero shooter, which disappointed many fans expecting something different.
