A classic PlayStation 2 game just announced a multiplatform remaster. Still the best-selling console of all time, the PS2 was home to hit after hit, many of which have been subject to remakes and remasters in recent days. Silent Hill 2 got an excellent revival in 2024, followed by Metal Gear Solid 3 the year after.
Now, though, another PS2 classic is getting the remake treatment, although, with an entirely new engine behind it, it looks almost like a completely different game. Amid all the new titles announced at this June's State of Play, you won't want to miss this one.
That's right, Musou maniacs: Dynasty Warriors 3 is getting a remastered version, currently set for release on Switch 2, PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 1. Although it's technically called Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, you could make the argument that this is a total remake, as the game was "beautifully recreated using Unreal Engine 5, per Koei Tecmo.
