While we have known Marvel’s Wolverine’s release date for months, Insomniac had been dangling a carrot in front of gamers since that announcement about further details being shared in “spring 2026.” That time recently came, with Insomniac sharing an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine gameplay during PlayStation’s State of Play.
Additionally, Marvel’s Wolverine’s pre-orders are now live for each of its available editions. Gamers can secure themselves some iconic and exclusive Wolverine skins and claw cosmetics via the Digital Deluxe edition, but fans who consider themselves enthusiast collectors/consumers won’t be able to help but acknowledge and be disappointed by the fact that Sony is discontinuing one of its best traditions regarding Insomniac’s blockbuster Marvel games.
When the Marvel’s Wolverine Standard and Digital Deluxe editions were revealed, it didn’t take long for fans to notice that there was no trace of a Collector’s edition. Sadly, on Twitter/X, Insomniac has since confirmed that there will not be a Collector’s edition for Marvel’s Wolverine.
