Rumors really began swirling over the past few months regarding a potential "bridge" that would link both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with its upcoming sequel. As it turns out, the rumors were true as CD Projekt RED revealed Songs of the Past for The Witcher 3. The third expansion is being co-developed alongside Fools Theory and has been confirmed to be skipping out on the previous generation of consoles. With the expansion announcement, it's likely that The Witcher 4 is further away than many hoped, as Songs of the Past could be positioned as something to help make the lengthy wait a bit more bearable.
