With Valve finally announcing the release date for the Steam Machine just yesterday, there is just one question that remains: how much will it cost? After all, considering the ever-growing cost of hardware and components in recent years, it is a fair question, but the answer may turn out to be a lot better than we had been initially hoping, at least according to a recent rumor.
We finally know that the Steam Machine is set to launch "this summer", according to an announcement by Valve which took place overnight. However, with the upcoming PC/console always set to launch in the first half of 2026, the date did not come as any surprise. What many did notice, however, was that Valve did not share the price tag, with many believing this did not bode well for its potential cost.
