Star Wars Officially Returning To The Prequel Era For Brand-New Adventure

Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Zero Company debuted a new gameplay trailer and revealed its launch date at the 2026 edition of Summer Game Fest. The turn-based tactics game was first unveiled in early 2025, and, prior to this new trailer, remained quite mysterious aside from its Clone Wars setting and XCOM-like gameplay framework.

Star Wars Zero Company will be released on August 27, 2026, coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Its new gameplay trailer contributed to the deluge of new video game footage from Summer Game Fest (officially hosted on The Game Awards' YouTube channel), and finally gave us a closer look at how combat will shake out. With preorders now going live, we also have information on Star Wars Zero Company pricing and special editions.

In the Star Wars Zero Company story, customizable main character Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer, takes command of a misfit band of characters that is tasked with undertaking clandestine operations during the prequel era's Clone Wars. Zero Company's main target is Kundri Fathom, the "leader of the Separatist-aligned cult, the Infinite Coil," according to a press release.
