During Summer Game Fest 2026, fans were treated to a new trailer for SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s upcoming game Stranger Than Heaven. Given that this was the third time we’ve seen Stranger Than Heaven in just the last few months, I was glad to see the trailer end with a release date.

That’s right Stranger Than Heaven will release on January 15, 2027 and they brought Snoop Dogg on stage to talk about being involved in the project. As someone that has played every game RGG’s Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, I can’t wait to see what this new IP brings to the table.
Alongside the announcement of the release date, we also got the surprise announcement that Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur is part of the cast for Stranger Than Heaven.
