Paramount confirmed some disappointing news about the fate of the in-development Avatar: The Last Airbender AAA RPG, confirming the game has been shelved. The Avatar RPG was previously in development by Space Marine 2 developer Saber Interactive.
Avatar: The Last Airbender has stood the test of time as one of the most beloved original franchises from Nickelodeon. The animated series following the adventures of Aang, the last surviving member of the Air Nomads, ran for three seasons and later spawned a spin-off sequel following a new Avatar in The Legend of Korra. Avatar received several video game adaptations during its television run, and has since featured in Nickelodeon's various crossover titles and even crossed over with Magic: The Gathering. However, an exciting in-development Avatar RPG has now officially been confirmed to be off the table.
