Ahead of its upcoming July 2026 release, Halo Studios has given fans a first look at the three new missions coming to Halo: Campaign Evolved, which should make fans of Sergeant Johnson pretty happy. Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to retell the original story of Master Chief from 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved, reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, with a couple of new features in tow for modern audiences.
First revealed at the Halo World Championships in October 2025, Halo: Campaign Evolved is the first large-scale remake from Halo Studios using Unreal Engine 5 instead of the studio's proprietary Slipspace Engine. When it came to remaking Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo Studios decided to modernize the game with a few controversial features, namely adding the sprint mechanic and brand-new story missions to the game, which some fans felt were unnecessary for Halo: Combat Evolved as a package, but some were still eager to see it play out. Fan speculation of what those story missions would be like is now over as Halo Studios has given fans a look at what's to come.
Halo: Campaign Evolved coming to PlayStation 5 is a momentous occasion, but whether the occasion is happy...
