Since the franchise began with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune back in 2007, the beloved Naughty Dog action-adventure series has gained worldwide popularity. With its protagonist, Nathan Drake, often hailed as the male Lara Croft, it is no wonder that the Uncharted franchise has captured the hearts and minds of fans for the past two decades (almost!)
However, with 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End seemingly marking the end of an era, fans have been left wondering if Naughty Dog will ever return, but with the studio finding success in The Last of Us, as well as working on its brand-new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, it would seem as though a potential Uncharted 5 will have to wait its turn.
That being said, it was just this weekend that fans were treated to an insider report over a potential Uncharted 5 after Jordan Middler shared some exciting information on the VGC podcast. Speaking about the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Middler said, "Uncharted. Obviously a new Uncharted is coming, like it's on the way. But then they left Uncharted at its peak, and didn't do a new one for a very long time."
