It’s Official: Pokemon Is Finally Returning To Hoenn

With the Pokémon franchise celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, celebrations are in full swing, and it seems as though LEGO wants in on the action by releasing a series of kits dedicated to some of our favorite Pokémon.

Earlier this year, LEGO and The Pokémon Company teamed up to release a series of kits to celebrate Pokémon Day, including stunning figures of Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. However, with the kits costing a whopping $650, they were not accessible to everyone and, as you can expect, scalpers soon took advantage of this by purchasing them in bulk and selling them on at even more ridiculous prices.

Overall, it was not a good look for anybody involved, but it seems as though the next kit is designed to right the mistakes by taking us back to Hoenn with the release of a beloved 'mon.

Starting from 1 August 2026, LEGO is returning with another set of Pokémon-inspired kits, with one of the most notable being Rayquaza, alongside a Zinnia minifigure. Luckily, this Rayquaza figure will not feature LEGO's brand-new Smart Bricks, so fans of the more traditional style of building can look forward to this latest addition to their collection....
