At the latest Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo announced a substantial new update and three paid expansion packs coming to the wildly popular Switch 2 exclusive Pokemon Pokopia. Pokemon Pokopia released for the Switch 2 earlier this year to mostly positive reviews and millions of units sold. The game has been praised for successfully marrying the world of Pokemon with the life-sim/cozy game genre, with some dedicated fans already spending hundreds of hours unlocking new Pokemon and building their towns.
Pokemon Pokopia will be getting a free update in August that will give players the Dive ability. Using Dive, players will be able to explore the ocean floors in Pokopia, where they will find new Pokemon and be able to do basically everything they can do on land, which includes building houses. Effectively, Pokopia players are going to be able to build underwater cities when the new update drops in August.
