Kingdom Hearts 4 finally resurfaced during the June 9 Nintendo Direct, giving fans a new look at Sora's long-awaited next adventure after years of silence. Square Enix's next mainline Kingdom Hearts game appeared during the showcase with a brief new gameplay trailer, confirming that it is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Square Enix still hasn't announced a release date for Kingdom Hearts 4, so fans may have to keep waiting a while longer before they can actually play it. Even so, this is easily the biggest update the game has received since it was first revealed in 2022, especially after Square Enix only shared a small batch of new Kingdom Hearts 4 screenshots in 2025.
