The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Is Coming In 2026

At today’s Nintendo Direct, the long rumoured remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was officially revealed. All we got was a very brief teaser for the game, with no gameplay whatsoever. This teaser trailer confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

On top of this, we get a brief cinematic shot of Link, which gives us an indication of the remake’s art direction. Thankfully, Nintendo don’t appear to be going down the route of just using the same art style from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Instead it appears that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake will take cues from the originally cartoony aesthetics, but will a massive modern glow up.
