Kingdom Hearts IV Finally Gets a New Trailer, Full Saga Announced for Nintendo Switch 2

More than four years after its announcement, Square Enix has finally released a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4.

Kingdom Hearts IV was announced April 10, 2022 with a trailer and scant details about the upcoming entry in the massively popular action-RPG series. Since then? Complete silence, outside a handful of screenshots released a few months ago. Fans have waited more than four years for a fresh look at the game. Thankfully, Square Enix has answered, delivering a new, albeit brief, look at the upcoming project.

Sora Versus the World

Kingdom Hearts IV's new trailer focuses heavily on mysterious figures, and some known ones, interacting with Sora before switching to combat. The trailer includes a fresh look at the new Keyblade-chain mechanic teased in the original trailer four years ago, as well as a new fire-based keyblade. There's also plenty of new Heartless shown off, including some that look very similar to humans. The only look at Disney characters and worlds is a brief shot of Donald and Goofy in the Underworld/Olympus Coliseum.
