Toho Co., Ltd. has officially unveiled its brand new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Though I Am an Inept Villainess, ahead of its premiere on July 12, which includes additional cast highlights and the official opening theme.

Based on Satsuki Nakamura’s critically acclaimed light novel and manga series, Inept Villainess brings viewers inside a vivid imperial courtly world of, centered on Kou Reirin, an adored noblewoman who finds herself swapped into the body of a condemned villainess, Shu Keigetsu.

The newly released trailer gives fans a fresh look at the series’ chaos after Reirin becomes entangled in a conspiracy that forces her to navigate the imperial court, shifting alliances, and the true meaning of strength.  The trailer also highlights additional characters and their respective cast members who will create key dynamics integral to the story. The newly revealed voice talent includes:

The anime’s opening theme “Sunny” will also be performed by acclaimed singer-songwriter milet. Additionally, the series is directed by Mitsue Yamasaki, with series composition by Yoshiko Nakamura, character design by Ai Kikuchi, music by Yukari Hashimoto, and animation production by Doga Kobo.
