PC Game with Dead Space Vibes Is Free to Keep for a Limited Time

From GameRant (Written by Mohsen Baqery) on | OpenCritic

An indie horror game with serious Dead Space vibes called Dire Echo is free to claim for a limited time for PC users with an Itch.io account. PC gamers always have plenty of free-to-play horror games to choose from. However, this promotion lets them grab a title with "Mostly Positive" Steam reviews that normally sells for $5.99 USD.

Fans of sci-fi horror games should note that Dire Echo's giveaway is not part of Steam's regular free-to-keep promotions. Instead, indie developer TrueGames is offering the game directly to players. Interestingly, Dire Echo launched on June 5, 2026, making it a brand-new release that fans can add to their libraries at no cost.

PC users looking to expand their Steam library need to act fast, as they can currently claim a co-op game completely free of charge.

As of this writing, developer TrueGames has not disclosed when Dire Echo's free-to-keep promotion will end. As a result, fans of games with Dead Space vibes may want to claim it sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.
